Practice Areas

Focused exclusively on building families

Candace offers individualized services that meet your needs — whether you are working with an attorney, an agency, or independently.

Surrogacy Law

Surrogacy arrangements are complex and deeply personal. Candace advises Surrogates and Intended Parents (never both in the same arrangement), drafts and reviews agreements, negotiates terms, and handles every document needed to place your names on your baby's original birth certificate under the Illinois Gestational Surrogacy Act.

  • Draft & review surrogacy agreements
  • Birth certificate & vital records coordination
  • Support for independent arrangements

Egg Donation

Clinic consent forms rarely cover the issues that matter between Intended Parents and Egg Donors. Candace advises both sides on their rights and responsibilities, prepares or reviews the donation agreement, and provides letters of release for the agencies and physicians involved.

  • Prepare or review donation agreements
  • Independent counsel referrals for donors
  • Letters of release for clinics & agencies

Embryo Donation

Embryo donation opens a remarkable path to parenthood — and it deserves a clear, carefully drafted legal agreement. Candace guides donors and recipients through parentage, disposition, and future-contact terms so everyone moves forward with confidence.

  • Embryo donation agreements
  • Parentage & disposition terms
  • Coordination with clinics

For those pursuing international surrogacy arrangements, Candace also provides immigration services — coordinating the legal aspects of registering your baby so you can return home with your child.
